I will not settle

I don't believe in this but I thought it would be fun to write. The idea is romantic but the reality is that most people that write ads are just looking for sex or are weird. After all, who would actually meet someone from the Internet unless they are weird and lonely, crazy for sex, or even murders. I started by reading the adds written by male seeking woman and I got exactly what I expected. Most where about sex. Some asshole's looking for someone to have an affair with. The only ones interested in an actual relationship are the older gentleman that probably spent their youth doing what the young ones on this site are doing now. Looking for platonic sexual relationships and thus are now alone. Then, I went and read the ladies. Expecting to read what we find commonly in romantic novels. A single, smart, self-sufficient woman looking for love. Someone who wants a sweet, caring, romantic, spontaneous, athletic, family orientated guy. Instead, what I found was woman settling for at minimum someone who isn't abusive, alcoholic, drug dealer or in jail. There are no real men out there. So woman have no choice but to settle. There is a Spanish saying that states it is better to be alone than with bad company. And so instead of writing a personal add about what kind of a man I am looking for, I too must settle but not for what the other woman are settling for, I will settle for not writing a personal add at all.
